Getting to Banff and Lake Louise
With plenty of transportation options to get you to and from the Banff and Lake Louise area, you can rest easy knowing you'll be able to plan a seamless journey from start to finish.

Spend your first day in Banff enjoying a round of golf at the world renowned Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course and then take a journey up the Banff Gondola for dinner with breathtaking views at Sky Bistro.
Shuttle
Distance: 1.5km
Take the shuttle service from the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel to the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course. The shuttle operates ever 30 minutes.
Multiple Travel Options
Distance: 8km
Take the shuttle from the golf course back to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. From here take Roam Public Transit route 2 to the YWCA stop. Take a short walk across the road to the Mountain Avenue stop and take Roam Public Transit Route 1 up to the Banff Gondola.
Day 02
Soar to new heights with Alpine Heli for an unforgettable flight over the Canadian Rockies and then come back down to earth at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel where you'll embark on a culinary adventure with Alberta Food Tours.

Drive from your accommodation in Banff to the Alpine Heli base in Canmore.
Day 03
Get ready for a day full of adventure! Start your day at the Mt. Norquay Via Farrata where you'll test your mountain climbing abilities with this assisted climbing experience. Choose from a variety of beginner to difficult routes. When you're done celebrate your achievements with a drink and bite to eat at the Cliffhouse Bistro. Finish your day on the lake with the Lake Minnewanka cruise - we recommend the Premium or the Beer Voyage cruise.

Drive the short distance from town to Mt. Norquay where you'll start you Via Ferrata adventure.

Distance: 0.1km
Your Via Ferrata experience conveniently finished right at the Cliffhouse Bistro.
Day 04
Take advantage of Banff’s many high-quality shops and unique local offerings by exploring Banff Avenue and Bear Street. Stroll in and out of locally made artisanal shops or get your outdoor adventure gear for your next day of exploring in the mountains. When you need a break, check out the locally crafted hard spirits in Canada’s only distillery inside a National Park.

Located on Banff Avenue, you'll pass Park Distillery while you're checking out the variety of stores in the downtown core.
Day 05
It’s time to head to the iconic Lake Louise. Spend some time exploring the shoreline before you take to the water to experience a classic Canadian mode of transport – the red canoe. After working up an appetite head to the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for their traditional Afternoon Tea featuring tea, sandwiches and desserts with a stunning view of Lake Louise.

Take Roam Public transit or a private shuttle from Banff to Lake Louise. You'll be able to use shuttles for the remainder of your trip.
Day 06
Get out on the trails with a knowledgeable local who can give you all the insider information on Banff and Lake Louise before hopping on a private shuttle to experience the majestic Moraine Lake.

Depending on your chosen hike, the starting location will vary but your tour guide will pick you up and drop you back at the hotel.
Day 07
Your last day on this trip, and it’s time to ride high again. Ascend to the top of the Lake Louise Sightseeing Gondola – which passes over protected grizzly bear habitat and is a prime wildlife viewing opportunity. Explore the alpine trails before settling in for a fine dining experience at the Whitehorn Bistro with majestic mountains and glaciers as your backdrop.
